Attended and contributed in weekly meetings to determine a student’s fitness for entry into college. Maintained detailed records of acceptances.
Review applicant’s academic achievements to determine merit scholarships; interview and review scholarship applications for full tuition scholarships.
Welcomed prospective students for an overnight stay, matching them with a host student and 2 courses on their second day. Coordinating prospective student schedules, host student schedules, meals and extracurricular activities.
Organize large scale event for over 100 school counselors from 6 different states to tour 4 different catholic colleges in the local area. Coordinated lodging, transportation, meals, social events, and professional development activities for counselors.
Organized open houses three times a year for prospective students. Collaborated with all college departments in order to provide academic sessions for prospective students and parents. Coordinated all logistical aspects of program, including meals, rooms/venues, speakers, etc.
Responsible for all students applying from Northern New Jersey, exceeding 1000 applicants per year. Engaged with applicants in person through various college fairs and events in NJ and on campus. Assisted applicants in choosing appropriate major based on career goals. Once accepted, maintained constant communication to inform them of next steps.
Coordinated a professional development and training breakfast for over 25 school counselors from NJ.
Presented information to parents of incoming students regarding student responsibilities, FAFSA next steps, course selection, etc.
Facilitated presentations for admitted students and parents to provide information on next steps, college specific information, major specific information, FAFSA information, and career services information.
